"Been Tidying Up"

Hello Blog friends, welcome to my little corner of Blogland.   Thank you so much for coming to visit me, I love to have you here.
Better weather here today than over the weekend.  Typical, just typical, when you have time to get out and about it pours with rain!!!!
Glenda Brooks:- I am not ignoring you.  When I click to link back to your Blog it keeps telling the page is unavailable.  So, so annoying, I really loved seeing your beautiful creations.
Did not have the boys yesterday, they went to "American Margaret`s" for lunch and as always stayed for ages.  We call her American Margaret because Audrey has a few friends called Margaret.
When J & A bought their tumbled down cottage, there was another cottage down the lane.  There were curtains on the windows and a well tended garden but they did not see anyone for weeks.  They were told it belonged to a  couple who lived in California, it was their "holiday home".  Turned out, Margaret was born and brought up in the cottage.  She left for America when she was 19 years old and did very well out there.  Years later, she heard through friends the cottage was for sale she decided to buy it.  When she came on holiday with her husband Steve they met John and Audrey.   They all got on very well, Margaret fell in love with them both, especially our son as he was so like her 3 boys.  They formed a really close bond with the whole family.  Have been to Weddings, Christenings etc:-  They have been over quite a few times to California for holidays.  Margaret and Steve are here for a few weeks.  Margaret`s brother was very ill over Christmas and was given a short time to live.  She flew over, went straight to the hospital to see her brother.   He died the next day.  So sad, it was like he stayed alive to see her.
Anyway that`s where the boys were yesterday.  Steve and Margaret spoil them rotten.  They love doing it and the boys obviously love it.
Free day for me, I had a bit of a tidy up of the "crafty stuff" that was lying around.  Funny how that "stuff" manages to find its way into so many corners of the house!!!!!
Here is one of the cards I made.  Not one sheet of new card or paper was used in the process:-

Base card white 6 x 6
Kraft Card
Freebe paper from a Magazine
Rose paper from Tattered Lace Magazine
Die cut leaves from scraps
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts

That`s it for today
Thank you from dropping by I really appreciate it
Till next time
Hugs

  23. Hi Patricia,
lovely to see you entering the playground. I have made such a very lot of lovely friends there. I was going to suggest it the last few times you made lovely cards from your scraps box or snippets as we call it in the playground.
This is another very lovely example of what you can achieve with left overs of other makes, and you are a real wiz at this.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  27. Hi Patricia, lovely to see you in the Playground with this beautifulness. I like your tidy-ing up! Would you consider coming to _my_ house for that kind of tidy up?! Love the sweet rose dp, and that gorgeous border you have with the gorgeous flowers. I hope we'll see you often in the Playground. TFS & Hugs. Re: the USA storm: in the South, we are just expecting intense cold temps, right in our area. Some of the Southern States mountain areas may get some snow, but for where we are, just very low temps. We're blessed, cause our fellow Americans in the Midwest & up north are getting hammered again after that recent last bad storm.

  32. Oooh! Pretty color combo of pink and sage green. Isn't it true that the crafting stuff manages to get all over. I find things stashed in the oddest of places. That was a nice story you shared about American Margaret.
